Enjoy the Charm of “Taking Tea” in the Antique Atmosphere of a Turn-of-the Century House

Themed teas, called "Special-Teas," are offered at Southern Oaks.  At each Special-Tea, guests enjoy "taking tea" in the charming ambiance of a turn-of-the-century restored house--but that's not all!

Each “tea” has a unique program that is designed to educate as well as entertain. On some occasions, speakers will present interesting and informative programs pertaining to the theme; at other times, guests are invited to don fancy hats and/or costumes and interact with one another by bringing items to share, reading character parts in a dramatic presentation, learning old-style dancing, and more!

Special-Teas are perfect for a unique birthday celebration, having tea with “girlfriends,” or to celebrate special occasions such as an elegant baby shower or bridal shower. Hostess Michele Cox makes sure that her guests not only have a great time and enjoy a tasty lunch, but that they learn something new every time they attend a tea at Southern Oaks.

Each tea costs $100, plus $25 per person, with a minimum number of 15 attendees.  This includes the elegantly decorated dining tables, delicious buffet lunch, several tea varieties, tea etiquette, several desserts, and ---the “edutainment” --- in the privacy and non-cluttered atmosphere of Southern Oaks.

For Bridal and Baby Showers, the hot tea can be eliminated and guests can be served iced tea, and citrus drink, which is a refreshing citrus-enhanced slightly sweet and slightly tart water.  

Reservations for groups only are required.  Minimum is 15; maximum is around 55.
