At the COLONIAL LIFE program, students
dress like the early settlers of America--Pilgrims, Quakers, frontiersmen, and noblemen. They learn about the various people
groups who came to the New World, and they learn what daily life was like for these early Americans. Students make butter,
and then are served it with gingerbread as they sit down to "take tea." The program ends with the students learning
an energetic early American dance.
The VICTORIAN LIFE program gives
students a glimpse of what it was like to be a lady or gentleman of the Victorian period. The girls dress
in long skirts and bonnets, and the boys don top hats and vests as they learn about fashions of the 1800s, rules of etiquette
at tea time, old-style dancing, and more! Heroes of the Civil War can be studied. It's an exciting, interactive
program for elementary and middle school students.
~Each
program can last from 1 1/2 to 2 hours. or for homeschool students who wish to stay longer, the program can continue on after
lunch.
Some groups even come
back in the evening for a family dance party or costumed ball!
~The "Victorian Life" and the "Colonial Life" programs are
appropriate for students in the second through fifth grades, and for middle schoolers. They are available to public,

classes in a grade level. The Director, Michele Cox, will work with each individual group to make sure that the students
are able to experience her highly educational yet tons of fun programs!

according to the program desired, number of students, and program location, but a guideline price is $10 each for groups
of 30 or more; $20 for groups of less than 30. A minimum number of 12 is required to conduct a program. Pricing
can be worked out on an individual needs basis.
